I noticed while I was browsing all the Food Trip Friday entries, all of them yummy, sumptuous and “bonggacious” foods, but mine is a bit different. We call it in Visayan term “Inato” which means “homely” or we cook it in a homely way. Its the Saging Saba (Pinoy Banana) which is a local banana variety that is popular here in the Philippines.
I really love this kind of banana when its cooked like this and its best paired with “bagoong” and some chili in it.

we love saba and lucky that they also have saba here…we can make turon, banana cue, maruya, etc with it…but never tried saba with bagoong and chili, sounds interesting though. anyway, wishing you a great weekend!
