My Comfort Food

I just love these sardines with pansit. I considered it as my comfort food. Whenever I feel tired of cooking pork or chicken meat since it takes some time to cook, I always have a stock of these foods so I can easily grab and cook it. As long as there is garlic, onion, a sprinkle of magic sarap powder and salt, then viola! there goes my comfy food and it makes it even more special when it is best paired with hot rice.
Some people calls it as “food for the poor” or the “mass food”. I believe its true because sardines and pansit are the simplest viand where poor and even those average families can afford to buy. My silly gay friend also considered it as his comfort food and he calls it, “OTIN” (Odong with Tinapa) okay I know those who understands its acronym will surely laugh on it but I think its true. lol!

Well, whatever it is, I just feel homey every time I eat this comfort food of mine.  Oh! I forgot to mention that it tastes so yummy and delicious too!
