postheadericon Remembering the Master Chef Julia Child

I never knew about this popular American chef, author, and television personality, Julia Child until I read a blog post of my food blogger friend. As I did some research about Julia, I was amazed how she brought French cuisine to the American public through her television program.

While I was watching this video remixed of Julia Child in celebration of her 100th birthday, I learned something from her cooking tips where she said that what makes a great chef is all about training and technique, a great love of food, a generous personality and the ability to invent Hot Chocolate Truffles. Wow! I would like to try that one. She also added that the freshness of the food ingredients is essential because that’s make all the difference. That’s what good cooking is all about. So, I think I better start to learn more about cooking.  :)

and green salad sauted with her very own created salad dressing.

postheadericon Yummy Sunday: Bam-i

Here’s a whole lot of Bam-i (noodle dish) which was served as snacks paired with a loaf bread when we had a gathering of young people from our church. It was cooked straight from firewood using a huge frying pan and covered with banana leaves.
