Famous Calamay from Bohol

We received this “pasalubong” from our dear friend who came from Bohol. They just spent their summer vacation at their hometown place in Jagna. I have never been to Bohol. I wish I could visit that place soon. I really wanted to visit their beautiful tourism spots and destinations.

We all know one of their famous delicacy is the Calamay.

This original Calamay made from Jagna in Bohol takes great pride for this simple yet laborious recipe . It is packed it inside a smooth coconut shells and sealed with band of red tape.

Calamay is a sweet delicacy which is made of ground sticky rice, sugar, coconut milk and vanilla. This one is another version that include peanuts. This is best paired with a soft and white loaf bread.
