Mocha Cake Topped with Cherries
I just celebrated my birthday a week ago and here’s my simple birthday cake bought from Steven’s Gourmet. It’s a mocha cake topped with cherries. This deliciously rich, moist cake really satisfies your most intense chocolate cravings. It definitely satisfies my sweet tooth. The mocha flavor for both the cake and the frosting is just so awesome! I love it! 
Simple Birthday Foods
We were invited to attend on a birthday celebration of my sister in law’s son. We had a night swimming on a public swimming pool and we really enjoyed our time swimming on a warm pool. We shared some good laughs, fun over the water, posing some wacky and funny photos, and best of all, pigging out while we eat all of these yummy and delicious homey foods.
I so love the spaghetti because of its creamy taste. Crispy fried lumpia is one of my favorite too as well as the chicken adobo and super sweet and creamy tapioca fruit salad. Its a simple birthday foods but we went home so full and so happy!
Thanksgiving Foods for Our House Blessing
We celebrated God’s blessing for our new home last Saturday. We actually don’t call it as a house blessing but we dedicated our house to the Lord. For us Christians, we have these spiritual house cleansing and purification where we take authority over bad spirits that have been welcomed throughout the home’s history and we leave doors open for their escape. We also did a prayer of blessing while anointing it with an oil. And as we speak blessings to our new home, we prayed to let God’s angels preside and watch over as we live permanently here.
We did not prepare lots of food since we don’t have much visitors. Its just our family and some of our fellow church members. We just prepared roasted “lechon” pig, beef steak and pancit bam-i as our main dish. A simple fruit salad and watermelon was also added for our sweets and dessert. We really enjoyed that day as we all gathered together thanking God for his unmerited favor and blessing that He has given us.
