BOTTLED JUICE VS FRESH JUICE
(This is a guest post)

Pasteurization
The bottled juices you buy from your local store will have been pasteurized in order to give the juice a shelf life. This means that the juice has been boiled, in order to stop bacteria and other organisms growing. While this sounds like it good idea, the pasteurization process also destroys many of the vitamins and enzymes that are contained in the juice. This defeats the object of drink juice in the first place. A freshly prepared juice is teeming with nutrients, so why would you want to spend good money on a sub-standard alternative?
Sugar
Another thing I have against bottled juices is that they are mostly fruit juices. Fruit juices contain far too much sugar, and when combined with the fact that many if the nutrients have been destroyed, you just end up with a sugary drink with very few nutrients.
Taste
And how about the taste test? There really is no comparison between a freshly squeezed juice and the bottles equivalent. Once you have drunk freshly prepared juice, you won’t want to go back to the bottled variety. To me, the taste of a freshly squeezed apple juice, for example, is on hundred times better than any bottled apple juice I have tasted. And that is no exaggeration.
